  • cultivation without the use of synthetic chemicals
  • water self-sufficiency by means of the construction of a well, and collection of rainwater from the roofs

  • conservation of natural resources, re-use, recycling and enhancement of existing physical elements
  • sustainable management of plant and biodegradable waste through the use of a composting system in bins in situ so as to conserve soil fertility
  • increasing biodiversity by the introduction of trees and shrubs, flowering plants and rows of herbs and other nectar-rich species in order to attract bees and other pollinating insects
  • the garden will constitute a complex system for the support of the resident bird population through the installation of nesting boxes and bird baths
